The minister pointed this out after yesterday Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of a period of normalization with the aim of restarting the economy after the coronavirus pandemic, BTA says.
So far, around 130,000 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Turkey. The country will begin gradually easing the restrictive measures in May, June and July amid a weakening of the outbreak, Erdogan said last night.
