Big Construction and Foreign Companies Want to Make Connection with Serbia

11 consortiums submitted bids to build the gas link with Serbia, the public procurement register shows.
Bulgartransgaz announced the order for turnkey design and construction on January 18, the deadline for submitting bids was until 23.59 pm on February 22.

On the territory of Bulgaria the gas pipeline is 62 km and the estimated value - 144 million BGN.

Among these 11 consortia and companies, the Saudi firm Arkad is currently building Balkan Stream, along with Italy's Bonati. Companies participate with their Bulgarian branches.

After the candidates to build the pipe are also companies that wanted the compressor stations along the gas pipeline.

Among them is “Climatronic”, which participates in the renovation of the former Party House. She competed in the auction for the Nova Provadia and Rasovo compressor stations.

Glavbolgarstroy, which won the compressor stations in partnership with Ferrostal, in this procedure is united with another company - Glavbolgarstroy International.

A consortium of Atomenergoremont, Rapid Bild from North Macedonia and Romania's Habau PPP Pipeline Systems are among the candidates for the pipe to Serbia.

Among the candidates is a consortium of Canada's Kenpipe Industries International Inc. - Branch Bulgaria, and Kenpipe Industries International Bulgaria. In 2019, this company in partnership with “Strimona Stroy” won an order for a highway gas pipeline between Lovech and Pleven.

“Interprom”, which participates in the construction of the third line of the metro, is in the race for the pipe with the Belarusian company Beltrubovodstroy.

Two consortiums of Bulgarian companies with Russian partners participate in the procedure.

Bulgarian “Europroject building”, “Thracian Stroy” and the Russian production union “PO Transgaz” are another consortium.

Global Construction, which participates in the construction of tunnel “Zheleznitsa”, is a consortium with Russian Alvora/“Alvora” Ltd.

“CP Development SA — Branch Bulgaria” is a Swiss company with a citizen manager of the Russian Federation, it is in partnership with the Vemak consortium. It includes Vemak Bulgaria and Vemak Inshaat Taahhut Makina Sanai and V Tijaret Anonym Shirketi, which owns the first partner.

GP Group is in partnership for the construction of the gas pipeline with “Groma hold” and “Chemo Aharon”.

A date for opening the financial bids has not yet been set.
