Prime Minister Boyko Borissov talked about 106 million leva and who had already gone to some of the money. He pointed out on his personal Facebook profile that nearly 30,000 farmers had already received funds under the emergency measure to compensate for damage in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Here's what the prime minister wrote.

"Nearly 30,000 farmers have already received funds under the emergency measure to compensate for damage due to the coronavirus pandemic. 70 million leva were paid to people under the program.

Bulgaria is the EU Member State that initiated changes to the regulation that enabled the launch of this extraordinary measure to compensate for losses from COVID-19.

To this end, we have set aside 106 million leva for three directions to help Bulgarian farmers and agricultural processors”, Borisov wrote.
