Capital expenditures will be reduced by BGN 300,000 for 2020.

Given the declared state of emergency in the country and as a result of an analysis of the planned expenditure under the budget of the Ministry of Energy for 2020, there is a reduction of capital expenditures by BGN 300 000, including for supplies of fixed assets, office equipment and basic repairs. This is said in a written response by the Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova, published on the National Assembly page. It specifies that the capital expenditure of the ministry approved in the 2020 budget is BGN 800,000, BTA reported.
The Ministry of Energy is the sole owner of the capital of Minproekt EAD and Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD, Temenuzhka Petkova added in her response. It adds that Minproekt EAD does not provide for 2020 funds for the purchase of fixed tangible assets/cars, office equipment, etc. /.

The Minister of Energy recalls that Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD (BEH/) is a holding company that unites Kozloduy NPP EAD, National Electricity Company EAD, Maritsa East 2 EAD, Electricity System Operator EAD, Bulgargaz EAD, Bulgartransgaz EAD and Mini Maritsa East” EAD.

Within BEH and the group companies, the opening of new public procurement was postponed, with the exception of those directly related to ensuring the country's energy security and the implementation of key energy projects, according to Temenuzhka Petkova's written reply.
