Dacic: With Gazprom we are considering new gas storage facilities in Serbia

Gazprom and Srbijagas are in talks on the construction of new gas storage facilities in Serbia, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said, as quoted by TASS.
As for the construction of new gas repositories, negotiations are now under way by our gas companies. In any case, we are interested in the future expansion of gas repositories, as this will help strengthen Serbia's energy security, Dacic told journalists after a meeting of the Russian-Serbian Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

In December 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Serbia's gas storage capacity will be increased from the current 750 million cubic meters to 2 billion cubic meters.
