Indonesia temporarily bans air and maritime transport

Indonesia will temporarily ban domestic and international flights and maritime transport from tomorrow, with some exceptions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, transport ministry officials said today, quoted by Reuters.
The ban on air travel will be in place until June 1, said Novie Rijanto Rahargio, who is director-general in charge of aviation, at the ministry, transmits BTA.

The ban on sea travel will be in force until 8 June, specified Agus Purmono, who is Director General for Maritime Transport in the departmental.

The government bans traditional annual mass travel for Indonesia's Muslim holidays.
