Industrial production with seasonal fluctuations counted down 0.1 per cent on a monthly basis in the 19 odd ones from the currency union. In January, industrial production grew 2.3 percent, BTA reported.
Across the European Union, industrial production remained unchanged in February on a monthly basis after rising by 2.1 per cent in January.
Bulgaria reported an industrial production growth of 1.1 per cent in February compared to 2.2 per cent in January.
The largest decline in industrial production was reported in Greece (-3.7 percent), Portugal (-2.8 percent), Malta (-2.6 percent).
The biggest growth was marked by Estonia (+8.7 percent), Denmark (+3.7 percent) and Latvia (+3.1 percent), the Eurostat website stated.
In Italy, industrial output fell 1.2 per cent in February after a growth of 3.6 per cent in January. The country has the most victims of coronavirus in the EU, and restrictive measures began earlier than its neighbouring countries.
