Mariyana Nikolova: I recommend the mountains for trips in spring break

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova made a working visit to Bansko, where together with Mayor Ivan Kadev discussed the possibilities for continuation of the winter season in the conditions of the temporary anti-epidemic measures introduced on the territory of the country, said the press center of The Ministry of Tourism.
“Compliance with sanitary and hygienic regulations and uniform rules of security, safety and hygiene is a guarantee of consumer confidence in the product we offer. The tourist industry in Bansko proved that tourists can safely trust them and it was no accident that the city hosted a round of the World Cup in alpine skiing,” commented Mariyana Nikolova.

Later, the Deputy Prime Minister, accompanied by the mayor of the city Ivan Kadev, visited the tracks, where even today our compatriots preferred to practice white sports. Currently, the conditions in the mountains are extremely suitable because of the fallen heavy snow.

“I recommend the mountain for travel and rest during the upcoming vacation of students. The conditions for tourism are excellent, they offer very good opportunities for strengthening health, and in conditions that guarantee safety and security,” said Mariyana Nikolova. She urged parents to bring their children to the mountain without worries and without risk to their health. According to Yulen boss Ivan Obreykov because of the fallen snow from the last days, the winter season can last until mid-April. According to his words, the weather conditions are extremely suitable for practicing favorite activities.

Minister Nikolova also commented that Bulgarians can visit the resorts without doubts about their health because so far there is not a single registered case of covid-infected in winter destinations. “Snow sports are very important for people's health because they are tempering. I am happy to see how many children, skiers and snowboarders there are and this pleases us, as Bulgarians once again support home tourism,” Nikolova said.

During this winter season Bulgarian tourists are the main visitors to Bansko and at the moment they are the most, said Mayor Ivan Kadev. And the Deputy Prime Minister added that it was thanks to the Bulgarians that it could be said that there was a winter season, as were the forecasts of the ministry. We expect this trend to continue in the coming weeks, she added.
