Minister Petkova said about the energy system against the background of COVID-19

Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova reassured society about the state of Bulgarian energy, stressing that the sector will last as long as necessary in the state of emergency.
“The electricity system is stable and there is no problem there. And natural gas supplies are carried out regularly,” Petkova said on Channel 3 airwaves.

The Minister recalled that the new Law on Emergencies extends the deadline for payment of citizens' obligations to energy companies and it goes from 10 to 20 days.

“The construction of all major energy projects continues unhindered. Currently, these types of activities are being carried out, which comply with the recommendations of the National Operational Staff against the Coronavirus, but construction does not stop,” Temenuzhka Petkova said.
