Ministry of Finance repeals the ordinance on cash registers

In connection with the public response resulting from the introduction of sales reporting requirements through retail sales management software (SMS) and the numerous signals of increasing administrative burden and business costs that these requirements create; especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which posed a number of challenges for economic operators, changes in the Value Added Tax Act (VATA) are being prepared to repeal the requirements for the SWTO. This was announced on their page by the Ministry of Finance.
After the entry into force of the amendments to the VATA, the Ministry of Finance is ready to bring Ordinance H-18 of 2006 for registration and reporting through fiscal devices of sales in retail establishments, the requirements for the software for their management and requirements for the persons who carry out sales through the e-shop, in accordance with it and cancel the introduced technical and other requirements regarding the SAPT.
