Radio China: China remains an attractive destination for US companies

Despite continued uncertainty amid the pandemic, nearly 75 percent of US companies are optimistic about expanding business operations and making profits in China over the next two years, the US Chamber of Commerce in China said yesterday, Radio China reported.
The growth rate of a number of US companies has slowed because of the pandemic and economical-trade frictions between the two nations. Yet nearly 26 percent of Chamber of Commerce members reported high pre-interest and tax profits in China, the chamber's annual business climate survey showed.

The report says foreign companies in China are positive about business prospects, largely because of the Chinese government's rapid response and measures, improved investment environment and expectations of a more predictable political setting.

About 57% of US companies have expressed optimism about their profit opportunities, partly because of the speed of China's economic recovery.
