Registry Agency reports 24% decline in registered companies

The Registry Agency reported a 24 percent decline in registered firms and 8 percent fewer discontinued activity in a year.
The biggest decline of registered new companies in Haskovo is 37 per cent, where 373 companies are registered in the current year, and for the same period in 2019 they were 591, the agency informed.

With regard to inactive traders this year, the sustainability of companies that are on the market is observed. Statistics show that in the large 28 district cities for 2020 8,158 companies have ceased operations. By comparison in 2019, they were 8,859.

The largest growth of inactive traders - 76 percent - there is in Blagoevgrad.

In the Land Registry there is a slight decrease of 4% in transactions with purchase and sale of properties.
