More than £1.2 billion has been targeted to deal with the consequences of Covid-19. This was stated by Social Minister Denitsa Sacheva at the opening of a meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development”, where the progress and amendment of the programme were discussed.
Support will continue in 2021, with the main focus being to safeguard jobs and create new ones, prepare for the digital transition, as well as social services adapted and secured for effective delivery in the face of a health crisis.

“Practically all people using social services, as well as social workers, will have the opportunity from next year to work in a more secure environment with the deployment of the new operation “Patronage Care +”, Minister Sacheva said.

In her words, 250,000 jobs have been saved with the invested funds and support for business in terms of labour costs will continue.

“Parallel to us are the challenges for the preparation of the new Human Resources Development Programme 2021-2027 and effective use of the opportunities of the 4th pillar of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, Fair Bulgaria”, Minister Sacheva said.

OP RHR is the first programme that not only programmes the additional resource provided under the REACT EU mechanism, but contracts and already implements three serious operations with national pre-financing.
