Secret fell: Here's how the EU will kill cars with internal combustion engines

The European Union (EU) will unveil the ambitious plan to limit harmful emissions.
According to the requirements set by 2030, European automakers will have to meet the new strict standards.

If the new strategy is approved, harmful emissions within the EU should be reduced by 55% of their levels in 1990, according to a document prepared by the European Commission (EC) and quoted by Bloomberg.

The targets adopted only 6 years earlier were to limit emissions by 40%.

"Achieving the 55% emission reduction target will become a significant investment hurdle for Europe's industry, services, transport and energy sector,” the document said.
