Sweden grants credit guarantees for companies hit by coronavirus

The Swedish government has tasked the National Debt Management Office to grant government credit guarantees for companies financially affected by the crisis provoked by the coronavirus, Reuters reported.
The credit guarantee programme provides that the government is easing the procedure for viable companies so they can cope with the pandemic, the office's director general, Hans Lindblad, BTA reported.

The credit programme aims to provide loans mainly to small and medium-sized companies, which have financial difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic, but are generally stable.
