Turkish finance minister: lira slump won't lead to major inflation

A nine percent fall in the Turkish lira this year will not seriously raise inflation, which Ankara expects to fall sharply towards the end of the year from a level of more than 12 percent last month, Turkish Finance Minister Berat Albayrak said, Reutres reported.
In a television interview with Anadolu Agency, Albayrak also said he did not believe the 100 billion Turkish lira economic support package aimed at mitigating the effects of the risks posed by the coronavirus would affect the implementation of the 2020 budget, BTA reports.
