The cancellation of the flights follows the unsuccessful negotiations Wizz Air is having with the responsible authorities in order to be allowed to repatriate Bulgarians from the UK, as well as to enable a large number of passengers who wish to leave for London.
Unlike other carriers, Wizz Air did not receive permission to perform repatriation flights that would have helped reunite dozens of Bulgarian families, the company said.
The airline will continue negotiations in this direction on all available official channels and hopes for a positive outcome to help many Bulgarians return home. Although the decision to cancelled flights is beyond the airline's control, Wizz Air sincerely apologises to passengers for any inconvenience caused.
